2019 Parent-Mentor Conferences

2019 Parent-Mentor Conferences

CLOVERDALE HIGH SCHOOL
2019 PARENT-MENTOR CONFERENCES

Parent-mentor conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 8th and run through Friday October 11th.

If
these days are not convenient, parents are encouraged to make arrangements during the school year to
talk with their child’s teachers or student mentor.

The Staff of Cloverdale High School believes conferences are an integral part of the instructional process
because they focus on student performance and assessment. Unfortunately, the State of Indiana no
longer allows schools to take instructional time to meet this need of parental involvement. Cloverdale
High School would like to continue parent-mentor conferences although they will be conducted
differently than in the past. You no longer will meet with your child’s teacher but with their assigned
student mentor. This mentor knows your child and has the potential to answer any questions or
concerns you have about your child’s education at Cloverdale High School. We do ask that when you
request to meet with your child’s student mentor, you keep the meeting as professional as possible
refraining from comments about your child’s teachers that are not conducive to a collaborative effort
for student success. Please understand this is a new and innovative approach to parent-teacher
conferences.

For more information or to schedule a conference, contact the high school at 765-795-4203 and ask for
the mentor’s extension or send an e-mail message.
